Victony’s “SLICK” Remix Gets Its Close Up: Summer Walker.

Victony’s “SLICK” Remix Gets Its Close Up: Summer Walker, Don Toliver and Nancy Isime Light Up the Visuals

A good song makes you move. A great one makes you see it. With the official video for the “SLICK” remix, Victony has given his biggest solo hit of the year a face, a mood and a glow you can almost feel on your skin.

The Song Everyone Has Been Dancing To

“SLICK” arrived in July 2026 and never really slowed down. It spent three straight weeks at number one on Nigeria’s Official Top 100, Victony’s first solo chart topper there. It climbed to number two on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and stayed for three weeks. By October 2, it had passed 44.5 million streams on Spotify and had reached the top of the platform’s Nigeria chart.

Then came the dance challenge. Fans everywhere recreated the moves, and the song kept popping up as a trending sound on TikTok through the summer. Even BTS member J Hope joined in, sharing a clip of himself doing the challenge and later posting the song again during the Colombia leg of the group’s world tour. Victony reposted it, and you could almost hear the grin.

The Original Video: A Club Washed in Neon

The first visual for “SLICK” set the tone. Picture a dark, moody club bathed in deep blue and green neon, the kind of room where the bass hits your chest before the music reaches your ears. Victony stands at the centre of it, first shirtless in a black leather baseball cap with a heavy silver chain, then in a white sleeveless tee with a sunburst graphic. Between the performance shots, the screen drops to black and the song title shimmers in silver glitter, followed by the release date in the same sparkle. It is simple, confident and exactly as slick as the name promises.

The Remix Video: Romance Enters the Room

When the remix landed at midnight on October 16, it came with an official video of its own, and this time the song gets a love interest. Actress and media personality Nancy Isime appears in the visual, giving the flirtatious record a face to flirt with. On set, Victony was photographed in a glossy leather outfit that catches the light like wet asphalt after rain, a fitting look for a song built on swagger.

That pairing makes sense. “SLICK” is about attraction and chemistry, the glance that lingers a second too long, the playful warning to watch your tone that is really an invitation. Having Isime on screen turns that tension into something you can watch unfold.

Two American Voices, One Nigerian Heartbeat

The remix, produced by Ozedikus, keeps the pulse of the original while widening the circle. Summer Walker brings her understated R&B delivery, soft and unhurried, adding a hint of soul and urgency to the song’s flirtation. Don Toliver glides in with his elastic, melody driven style, bending each line like smoke curling through the neon. Victony holds the centre and lets both of them shine.

Toliver and Victony are no strangers to each other. Toliver appeared on the 2023 remix of “Soweto” with Rema, so this feels like friends picking up an old conversation. The timing is perfect too, with Victony still riding the STARLIFE album released in August and Toliver following his album OCTANE.

The Verdict

Reviewers have been kind. One gave the remix four out of five and said both guests add real flavour without dimming the original’s energy. Another called it catchier than the song it came from.

For RNBSOULSA readers, the “SLICK” remix and its video are proof of how easily Lagos, Atlanta and Houston now share one dance floor. Summer Walker sounds right at home over an Afrobeats groove, and the visuals make the whole thing feel like a night out you wish had not ended.

“SLICK (Remix)” and its official video are out now. Press play, turn it up and let the neon do the talking.
